IMPORTANT NOTES AND TIPS
Please read this BEFORE making
the "Tiny Book".
This is IMPORTANT INFORMATION that
will make the construction much easier.
l
It is easiest to decorate the cover (Flap A)
BEFORE you put the book together
l Avoid decorating the
narrow strip where you
will be placing the tape
l If you do not want to
emboss or if you are doing
these as a project with
children, turn the
Front Cover OVER and stamp and
decorate the
NON-GLOSSY side.
l If you want to stamp
the INSIDE pages, stamp
them BEFORE you attach the
finished
Front Cover

INSTRUCTIONS:
- Open the Matchbook Note Pad. Cut along both
folds of the gusset (dashed lines shown in Figure 1) and
discard the narrow piece (shown in Figure 1). Keep the wider
piece which we will call Flap A. This Flap A will be
your Front Cover (see Figure 2).
- Slide Flap A under the stapled Flap B
(see Figure 3-a) until it is even with the edge of the back
cover (see Figure 3-b). Hold in place with your finger and
score Flap A right next to Flap B with a Bone Folder or
Burnisher (see arrow on Figure 3-b). Remove Flap A (Front
Cover) to decorate it.
- Now is the time to decorate the Front and Back
Covers and stamp the inside pages. You will also cut and decorate
a separate piece of cardstock and tape it over Flap B to hide
the staple.
.
- Stamp "Vertical Memories" on the
Yellow Card Stock with Black Ink, dip into Transcendence Embossing Powder and tap off excess.
Emboss with heat gun. Cut out close to the border and set aside for
use in Step 7.
- Stamp "Photo Frame" with Black Ink
on the Front Cover (Flap A). Do not stamp it on the
narrow strip that is to the left of the score - that is where the tape
will go and it will be hidden (see Figure 4). Dip into Transcendence
Embossing Powder, tap off excess, and emboss with heat gun. Stamp
and emboss "Photo Girl" inside of the "Photo
Frame".
- Color in as shown in photo. If you are very quick you
can once more dip it into Transcendence Embossing Powder, tap
off excess and emboss again. This will give the background and any
areas you colored the embossed look. Everyone will wonder how you got
the colored areas to emboss! You must be quick, however, to do this. Also,
do not hold the embossing gun on it too long or you will melt the
black that has already been embossed.
- Attach 1/8" Doublestick Tape on the
narrow side of the score on Flap A, and re-insert it under Flap
B (see Figure 4). Finally, attach 1/8" Doublestick
Tape to the back of the Stamped Yellow Card Stock you had
previously set aside in Step 4 and tape it over Flap B (see
picture on top).
- Glue or tape pictures on the inside pages of your
Memory Book and ENJOY! Make some as gifts, too!
